Macro Oceans
Macro Oceans is a celebration of the unseen beauty that lays before us.
I feel that we are losing touch with the natural world. Through macro photography I have explored different materials such as minerals, crystals and metals, all made by mother nature. I hope to show you how special the world is. This series draws similarities between the beauty of the ocean and abstract macro environments.
More than 80% of the ocean is yet to be explored by mankind, yet our presence on the earth is felt throughout all oceans. In the parts of the ocean that have been explored, plastic has been found. Even the Mariana trench at a depth of 11 000 meters cannot escape the onslaught of plastic pollution.
Now I wish to show the beauty of the ocean through my art, simultaneously raising awareness for plastic pollution.
